The Story of a Sunabe Cloud at Sunset

The Story of a Sunabe Cloud at Sunset

The Sunabe seawall is a 6-minute walk from our bottom-floor apartment. This seawall extends 2 miles from Baba Park and goes almost all the way to American Village, a tourist hotspot in Okinawa.  Right off this seawall is a prime location for snorkelling, diving and surfing, but not on the same days.  When it's calm, the divers follow a sunken chain out past the coral rock. When it's rough, like last night, the surfers are out in force, some as young as two years old.  I've GOT to get my kids out there!  For now, though, I was satisfied taking in the Okinawan vibe, watching the sunset and one big fantastic part-rain-Cloud hovering right overhead.  The Cloud just kind of hung out, watching us in return, the surfers, the photographers, the seawall walkers, the dogs. It partly obscured the sunset - just enough to make it interesting.
